Plans and usage
AnalyticsTrend charges by the events your projects send each month. Every plan has every feature and unlimited projects. Paid plans are not open yet: until they are, every account is on the free trial.

A year costs ten months. The events stay a monthly limit on a yearly plan. Prices are plus applicable tax: C$ in Canada, € in the European Union and US$ everywhere else. The billing country you give at checkout decides.
The free trial
No card. The trial is free until paid plans open, and after that each new account gets three months. A trial has no event limit; collection pauses only past 6,000,000 events in a month, as on Scale. Plan and usage, in your account settings, shows the plan your usage fits, so you know what you will pay before the trial ends.
When a trial ends
Once paid plans open, a trial lasts three months. If it ends without a plan, nothing is lost at once:
| Days after the trial ends | What happens |
|---|---|
| 14 and 3 before | The account's Admins get a reminder by email |
| 0 to 30 | Everything keeps working. Admins get an email, and a banner says when collection stops |
| 30 | Collection stops: the collector answers 402 and stores nothing. Reports keep everything collected so far |
| 53 | Admins get a final warning: the data is removed in 7 days |
| 60 | The events and reports are removed |
Your account, its members and its projects stay, write keys included, so the installs you have keep pointing at the same projects. Choose a plan at any point and collection starts again within a minute. If your app is still sending once collection has stopped, the Admins get an email, at most once a month, saying so.
A subscription that ends, cancelled or after payments that did not go through, follows the same days from the end of the period paid for.
Paying
An account's Admins choose a plan in Billing, in the account settings, monthly or yearly, and manage the card, invoices and cancelling from there. Payment happens on our payment provider's own pages; your email and account name go to it to set up the subscription.
What counts
Every event your projects send in a calendar month, counted in UTC, as report days are. The web SDK's record of how long a page was visible is not an event and does not count, and nor does anything from a crawler or a headless browser, which is dropped before it is stored. Counts are updated every hour.
Plan and usage shows the month so far, each project's share, and the six months before. Every member of the account can see it.
Warnings
On a paid plan, the account's Admins are emailed when its events this month reach 80% of the plan, and again at 100%. If the account was over last month too, the second email names the plan that fits. Admins and Write members also see a banner in the dashboard while the account is over.
These emails are about your account, so they always go to its Admins.
When collection pauses
Past 120% of a plan's events, collection pauses until the first of the next month, or until the account moves to a larger plan. The collector answers the SDKs 202 with "filtered": "paused", so they do not retry, and nothing new is stored. Everything already collected stays.
Usage is counted every hour, so an account can pass 120% by up to an hour of events before the pause starts. Admins are emailed when it does.
The rate limit
Each project may send 50 events a second, with bursts of up to 500. Past that the collector answers 429 with a Retry-After header, and the SDKs send the events again a little later with the same ids, so a short spike loses nothing. A project on Scale averages about 2 events a second, so no plan comes near it.
