Data processing agreement

On this page
This agreement is part of the Terms of Service for customers subject to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the United Kingdom’s. You are the controller of the data your projects send to AnalyticsTrend; Deasil is its processor. There is nothing to sign: accepting the Terms accepts this agreement.
What is processed, and why
The data your projects send about the people who use your websites, extensions and apps, exactly as What it collects lists it: a random identifier per browser or install, the events and properties you send, the pages viewed, where visits came from, a country and region, the family of browser, operating system and device, and a language. No cookies are set and no IP address is kept. Deasil processes it only on your instructions, which are the Terms and your settings, and only to provide AnalyticsTrend to you.
How it is kept safe
The data is hosted in Canada, reached only over encrypted connections, and open only to your account’s members and to Deasil’s operators where they need it to run the service. Everyone who can reach it is bound to keep it confidential.
Sub-processors
- DigitalOcean: hosting, in Canada.
- Postmark: sending the service’s emails.
- Our payment provider, once paid plans open: payments only, holding no data your projects send.
We will email the account’s admins before adding a sub-processor.
A breach
If a breach affects your data, Deasil tells your account’s admins without undue delay, with what is known, and helps you meet your own obligations.
Your requests, and the end of the service
Deasil helps you answer requests from the people you measure. You can export your reports at any time, and deleting your account removes its data, apart from backups, which are gone within 7 days.
Transfers
The data is stored in Canada, which the European Commission recognises as giving adequate protection for personal data, so no further transfer mechanism is needed.
